... Fixed barrel. Optics ready. Infinitely modular. Meet the KvP.

A quantum leap in pistol design.

Meet the KvP, a modular 9mm pistol unlike any other.

Subject to US Patent application 16/852,455, this bold new design provides the ultimate solution for the three strongest trends in pistol caliber firearms:

  • Suppressors are more popular and accessible than ever before. The KvP’s fixed barrel allows the use of integral or detachable suppressors without a Nielsen device
  • Miniature Red Dot Sights, or MRDS, are quickly becoming the new normal. Not simply an afterthought, the KvP’s fixed barrel features a direct mounting interface, which maximizes repeatability and accuracy potential while enhancing optic longevity by avoiding the harsh acceleration of the slide.
  • Modularity is the name of the game for the KvP.  Due to its open architecture built around a universal receiver, it can accept any combination of barrel unit and grip module. Configure the KvP from a compact carry gun up to a braced subcarbine using all the same core components.

beyond browning

At the heart of the design is a novel fixed-barrel inertial amplification action. The tilting bolt utilizes a camming system to relatively accelerate the slide, much like the rollers in an MP5. This results in an extremely soft-recoiling universal action that is tailored for optics use, suppression, and adaptive configuration for enhanced or specialized functionality with a limitless accessory product ecosystem. Beyond the unique action, the KvP boasts an unprecedented feature set:
  • Interchangeable barrels: The barrel assembly can be configured for any feature imaginable. The simple tube-shaped barrel is permanently mounted in a shroud which may offer features such as a Picatinny rail, direct MRDS mounting, compensation, and even integral suppression for NFA conversions.
  • Interchangeable grips: The standard grip is available with interchangeable backstraps to conform the grip to the user’s hand. The serialized chassis can be easily removed and installed in another grip, such as the subcarbine grip, which features a telescoping pistol brace or stock for NFA configurations.
  • Subcarbine upper receiver: The barrel assembly can be swapped for a 7” unit that is installed in an extruded aluminum upper receiver with a top accessory rail, MLOK slots, charging handle, and a muzzle device or SD-config suppressor.
  • SMG magazines: The double-feed magazines hold more rounds than conventional pistol magazines in the same length, due to the lack of convergence taper. They are also easier to load.  Compact is 17 rounds and full is 20 rounds. A quad stack 50 round subcarbine magazine has been conceptualized.
  • Cam-lock barrel mounting: A spiral cam surface on the takedown pin secures the quick-change barrel assembly for perfect boltspace, every time.
  • Low bore axis: The KVP’s bore axis dimension of 1.37” with a perfect trigger to grip curve alignment index ranks it neck and neck with the acclaimed Walther PPQ and erstwhile Hudson H9 in ergonomics and pointability.
  • Match-grade trigger pull: The single action trigger break is crisp and adjustable by utilizing different disconnector springs.
  • Drop safe: The design features three internal, redundant safety mechanisms. A trigger blade safety prevents inertial trigger motion caused by drops. A sear safety prevents unsearing unless the trigger has been pulled. A firing pin safety prevents firing pin inertial movement unless the trigger has been pulled.
  • Safe disassembly: due to the internal hammer fired mechanism, the pistol can be swiftly disassembled without pulling the trigger.
  • Mirrored ambidextrous controls: The slide catch and lever-style magazine release are identical on both sides of the firearm.
  • Reduced recoil: the lower reciprocating mass results in a softer shooting pistol, like the highly regarded roller-delayed H&K P9S, and forward mass in the fixed barrel shroud acts like a comp weight to reduce muzzle rise.
